Steaming: a fast and healthy way for cooking cauliflowers and getting an excellent side dish that suits every main dish.
- 1 cauliflower
- a cup of water
- extra virgin olive oil
- cooking time: 20 minutes
- Steam cooking – using Thermomix TM31 BIMBY ( Varoma temperature, Speed Spoon / Gentle stir setting)
Clean and cut the cauliflower and, after filling the mixing bowl of thermomix with water until the first line, put the cauliflower in the simmering basket and let the steamcooking started. Varoma temperature, “Spoon” Speed for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes have gone by, check if the cauliflower is cooked, using a fork: if the fork goes easily through it, then it is ready, otherwise keep on steaming it until it is cooked.
Toss the cauliflowers with salt and olive oil or fresh lemon juice.
